in-line transmission filter help.

hello all.

I am trying to install one of these in-line somewhere in my 940 turbo's transmission cooler lines.

so three questions:

1. anyone else using this sort of filter and where did you put it?

2. what are the directions of flow for the transmission cooler lines?

3. should i not do this.

Here it is.

So this is a workable location and the correct direction to install one of these in-line filters.

and based on my current fluid quality after a night of racing i would say these work.

for any of you that dont know. the stock transmisison filter is a stupid metal screen that doesnt filter anything. this filter is a combination of magnet and paper element and is capable of actually filtering.

All the black stuff is metal off the magnet.
I took a IPD flush hose and cut so it was about 1 foot long and ziptied it to the front of the airbox.

You should do this.
For later turbos with ATF cooler, put it in the line from the cooler to the trans, flow towards the trans.
Mine is aft of the air filter housing.
Sorry, out of order.
