Injectors cleaning time? Maybe?

In my 20 years of owning 5 Volvos, I've never had the injectors clean in any of them.
I'm contemplating having them clean soon on my 940 but I'm not sure it's necessary to have them done even though it's a 30year old car...

What are the symptoms of dirty injectors if any?

- bad spray pattern (causes bad evaporation)
- dripping when they are supposed to be closed (this throws off AFR's)
- flow differences between injectors (the ECU expects them to be equal, it's batch fire injection. Differences between injectors can for instance cause one cilinder to run lean while another runs rich and the other 2 run normal. The lambda sensor does not pick up on this because it monitors all exhaust gasses in general.)
- it can't hurt to replace the seals on them because rubber hardens over time. They are a potential source of vacume leak and lean running because unmeasured air mass gets into the intake.

Symptoms vary but rough running and low on power could be indicators.
