Lack of repair manuals

I regret that Chilton and Haynes no longer seem to make DIY repair manuals for newer cars.

Are there any companies making printed manuals for newer cars, or is it all online stuff from the mfr. these days?
I suspect the demand is fairly limited for DIY materials on new cars that are only a couple years out of warranty.

Not that I disagree that we should have the option, but I suspect most of those owners are still paying shops for the work, or doing work that doesn't need much documentation (like a bolt-on exhaust for example)
We live in a world where owners manuals are on DVD/CD so getting print service manual for anything is unlikely. Maybe you can print what is on a DVD?
