MaxxECU Questions and Support/Purchase: Post them here

Will Maxxecu have an ECU that supports DI engines? I suppose Volvo VEA engines start dropping in price slowly and they seem to be quite tough.
Top of the line Maxx have Peak and Hold function but I don't know are those DI compatible. Maybe more a software issue than hardware thing?

Link 4+ Force works with DI (you need also pump controller, which Link has)

Greetings and Happy Holidays...Been wanting to Upgrade for awhile and have Newer wiring...Current setup is 1994 Volvo 940 turbo with Wasted spark, Bosch 2×2 Coil and Huco 2-Channel Ignition Amplifier Along with ALL of the other Factory Sensors in its Locations..Would Love to get RID of the Moody Maf Sensor...Looking to be able to Control ALL of the Pertinent Fuel & Ignition Controls and Kick LH 2.4 to the CURB.....Very Intimidated with Wiring but is Very Capable and can Follow instructions...Have a Multimeter but is very intimidated with measuring anything but Volts....Have MANY Questions as well....Been looking at the Cam Sensor KIT by Speedtuning, What are the BENEFITS of running with a Cam Sensor?...What Kind of Ignition does it support?...Does it ACT as a BACKUP Trigger/CRANK Signal? IF the Cam Signal was LOST, would the Car NOT Start...Can a Cam Sensor have ANY Benefits with a Wasted Spark Setup or is this just Good for a Sequential Setup....Is the CONSENSUS that a Sequential Ignition Setup is the Most RELIABLE and once again, If the Cam Sensor was Lost/Dead, would That Mean the Car probably would not spark....COULD my Bosch 2×2 COIL and HUCO 2-CHANNEL AMP be USED IF/WHEN I were to go to Sequential Spark?...IS the MaxxEcu FUSE PANEL for the Fuel & Ignition Components?....WHAT do I do with ALL of the "OTHER WIRING" in the Volvo OEM Fuse Panel that Controls the other circuits?...Can the MaxxEcu BOX be Installed in the Engine Bay for a Shorter/Closer Install? Would the Fuel System and Fuel Injector RELAYS be NEEDED with the MaxxEcu? ( Have Main & In-tank PUMPS)

I'm considering MaxxECU for my 1966 Amazon EFI project on my OHV B20 with twin Jenvey Heritage 45mm throttle bodies with integrated injectors and TPS. I'll be likely using Yoshifab CAS adapter with Mitsubishi CAS. What ECU's should I be comparing? Recommendations for ignition or other add ons would be helpful as well.

Do you need anything other than spark and fuel control?

Probably not. If I want to monitor AFR I can always just add something on separately. I'm planning on using the car in a wide range of elevations as well but I think I should be OK with it adjusting based on MAP readings. Speaking of MAP readings I seem to recall concerns about weak vacuum signals on individual runners with aggressive camshafts.

VW wasted spark coil with integrated amplifier. Cheap, simple and good.

what IAT is reccomended for this sorta thing? can I source one out of a parts car?
additionally is it fully necessary? after a list of " if your doing this might as well also do this" items, the build is getting more pricey than expected
any iat with an open tip and known calibration data
no, not necessary

also, in terms of removing pins from the molex connector, are there any better alternatives to spending 20$ plus shipping and waiting a month for the maxx brand pin removing tool?

actually, 3d print a block and stick needles in it.

a mini will work fine
A sport if you want drive by wire and cruise control

Got a MaxxEcu SPORT being delivered today....Thinking I should have gottwn the Fuse and Relay Panel as well as I have NOT A CLUE what to do with ALL the Wiring....

I cant AFFORD a Plug-N-Play as I ALREADY broke the BANK purchasing the SPORT Version...What is the PURPOSE of the MaxxEcu RELAY & FUSE PANEL? Is it to SEPARATE the Fuel and Ignition Circuits from the VOLVO OEM Fuse Panel? What do I DO with the Original circuits (Fuel & Ignition) that is already there? I am CAPABLE of doing the WORK but could USE some GUIDANCE/POINTERS Along the way....Questions: WHAT IAT Sensor and ECU COOLANT TEMP SENSOR plays well with the SPORT Version? Read about the Volvo Sensor GROUNDS thru the BODY but "Another Sensor" has a Grounding PIN....ANY LINKS or References to this??

Is it FEASIBLE to pull out the whole wire loom OR Just the PORTION that is NOT Needed...I have a 1994 Volvo 940 turbo and there IS Vacuum TUBING in the Engine Bay by the Control Valve HOSES that is a PART of the Wire Loom and Connects to the Vacuum Nipple of the Heater Control Valve, CAN and SHOULD this be SEPARATED from INSIDE the Vehicle...Id RATHER LEAVE the Original harness IN & UNTOUCHED IF it would Simplify the process...Im hoping to SOLVE this AND CRANK by or Before the New Year....Was having issues where car would SHUT DOWN once warmed up and NOTHING Solved it even after firing the Parts Cannon and Replacing with ALL NEW PARTS...Im very SKEPTICAL of the almost 30yr old WIRING in this car..
