Modern ABS for a tracked 240 (Teves MK60 swap)

The cheap ones have very soft threaded fasteners on the ends. Those can break. Other than that i haven’t had issues making good bubbles.
You can even use double flare nuts and just do the first part of the double to get a pretty passable/functional bubble. It’s not as round but it will seal.
Or flip the double holder over and do the first part, using the ISO flare nut.

Pro tip: tape the nut where it needs to be. That way it doesn’t slide away while bending, and you won’t forget to put it on the tube before flaring.

Hydraulic handbrake levers are available,YMMV.
I am just going to leave it in second gear when I am in the pits. I get the rotors really hot and I don't really want pad material sticking to them for that warped rotor feel.

My teammate wants to add ABS to his 240, so that might work for him.

hydraulic handbrakes also tend to loosen up for a while after you set them which is not what you want in a parking brake.

I know of at least one instance of a car rolling downhill at an autocross after the parking brake was set, following their runs. Car owner walked away to go report to their work assignment and the car was in the grid. I don't even think it was necessarily hydraulic, but I don't know for sure.

I've had to cut two volvo parking brake cables at track days because the got stuck on. The cables can get so hot near the exhaust that the liner melts. You pull of track and set the parking brake, and then the melted liner solidifies around the cable and you can't release the brake. Pretty good time!

I swear this happens at every rally race. One time during the drivers meeting

My XC70 parking brake gets frozen to the rotor on icy days. You can brake it loose with a little gas but it always sounds quite alarming...

What have people been doing about the parking brake after adding the rear tone rings?

From a (very) brief look at the parking brake arrangement on my 240 it looks like it might be possible to keep the standard arrangement if the tone ring were mounted immediately behind the hub face and clear of the shoes.

In the UK at least a parking brake must be mechanical to pass our roadworthy test (MOT).

After using the MK60 ABS this weekend in a 24 Hours of Lemons race, it is probably one of the best upgrades we have done to our car. It feels like a cheat code has been entered for braking. A little to hot at the end of a straight, MK60 fixes that for you. Bumpy surface where you would normally lock up, it fixes it. Want to brake into a corner, it adjusts by wheel for you. You become a trail brake god. Magical.

I have stock '85 740 brakes, I had to change it to a front/rear setup from the double triangle setup Volvo had. I kept my stock master cylinder. Had to install a Wilwood proportioning valve to even out the rears. The brackets and rings for the rear of the 240 posted here worked fine on the 740. I used Armada sensors in the rear and 2005 BMW 325 sensors for the front. I used a MK60 and Yaw sensor from a 2005 BMW 325, no special M3 or motorsports flashed version.

That settles it. I’m getting some electric parking brake calipers and calling it good. Just leave it to me to come up with a $1000 solution to a $10 problem. I got ya covered!

I expect nothing less from you

Then the electric caliper pad will stick to the super hot rotor.
