After posting some pics of my car in showroom and getting some positive responses I thought I would do a propper project thread, so here goes PS photobucket wont let me resize some photos so sorry:

This is my 1992 b200ft powered 945 estate as i brought it and completly standard (I even had the intention of keeping it that way )

I have always liked cars from an early age and have modified all my cars with performance bits and peices so when I typed in 'modified volvo 940' into google and saw this site I started to get excited, especialy as i had alredy realised that the engine had potential. so i asked some silly questions and got told to 'search' and search I did ( this is now what it looks like under my bonnet )

The 'spec' is written in my sig but thats at the bottom of the page so here for those who cant be bothered to scroll :

b230fk full stage 0 + 3" 960 012 AMM, 440CC injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, cold intake with HUGE K&N cone, nology wires and coil, BP7ES @ 0.28 , HUGE intercooler, 3" exhaust and DP no cat one silencer, ported 15G and manifold , MBC @ 18PSI (blitz sbcIII) , frp85's ignition chip, blitz bov

Plans for the future include: cam , headwork , custom inlet manifold and posibly a bigger turbo to make the magic 300.

Aye, that'll work :) It's funny...of the relatively small number of people to play with chipped/hacked LH setup in the UK, three of them have been B200s, rather than 230s, yet 230s are way more common

cheers

James

FKs were much more common once they released them....partly because they replaced all the NAs! 95+ FTs are relatively unusual. They dicked about with them quite a bit in terms of what was available when...but now you've mentioned it, it's a good point that quite a lot of 91-93 940 Turbos in particular seem to be B200s.

cheers

Had a spare manifold welded up whilst the engine is out...

... which means I had to port it.
Old and new:

I done it with a 4.5 inch grinder with an old grinding disc fitted and no gaurd I just let it cut its way downward , took about 30 mins peice of cake. :-D
heres a pic of my quality tool.

so that should aid the spool, and this should double the power.

Crikey, that's not so much ported at dessimated

We lugged Ryan's out to the same size as the hole in the T3 hotside with a carbide burr. Those manifolds are made of something very hard!

cheers

yeah I tried with a carbide burr but it sucked, big time. I love my angle grinder so I thought 'how can I use that' luckly there was an old grinding disc on the side so I used it.
I would write an artical on it but all It would say is :
get grinder.
get old grinding disc.
get manifold.
annoy neighbours for half an hour.
fit to car.
:-D

OH AND THE 2.3 IS UP AND RUNNING !!!
