Same problem here, the radio display says "CODE".
I've tried the radio code form (with fake info) but it replied the car does not require a radio code.
I have a Volvo 240 from 1989 and I think the radio might not be the original. That might explain why it was not recognised when requesting the code.
Radio model: CR-905
Radio serial: vo1090 h6241101a
Is there any way to get the code?

I tried calling several dealers and they all charge around €25 and they want me to drive by.
Also heard that it could take 1 or 1,5 weeks before they get the code, and we plan to go on holiday in 5 days
