So all... I've.recently sold the 740 turbo.. and.a grand.cash out.of.it.. and used that for a cherry 1995 volvo 850 turbo... what is stock boost?? Because I installed a aftermarket boost gauge.. and.it pulls down 10psi pretty easily.. I'm beginning to wonder if it wasn't modified in some fashion before I purchased it. But so far I'm in love with it

I think it's around 9-10 lbs of boost. So you sound to be right on. Being in Longview, I'm curious (since I'm in Centralia) which 850 Turbo did you pick up? I've been keeping an eye on the 850's in the PNW since we're buying one in the next few months. Also how do you like the comparison from the rwd 740 to the fwd 850? Any real difference on day to day driving?

I can't wait for the purchase of my 850 Turbo Wagon :-)

I cant even use my "smart phone" to post replies to this site. Deff hard as hell to get proper sentence form and punctuation.
 
To be honest?? I love it. The car really doesn't handle any differently as driving goes.. but holy hell does it have a lot of punch so smooth in driving everything works
I picked it up from a car lot in kelso Washington.. asking 3400 for it.. and I got the down payment and took her home. Its a red one.. clean body
 
Nice cars. Show them a little love and they'll always be good to you. Be sure you start on your stage 0, with the timing belt, tension pulley, idler, and water pump being first priority if their is no record of it being done. PCV service should be next.

Thanks for the reply, I think I saw that one earlier this week when I was looking. Well I hope to have my 850 soon, when I do I'll get in touch with ya and we can compare rides :oogle:

I use my phone for the vast majority of my posts here and don't seem to have problems.
Maybe you need a better phone? Or maybe you need to learn how to use it.
 
Alright.. I'll be frank with you. Insulting remarks are not needed. And where I happen to live? Doesn't mean I cannot spell nor think.. for crying out loud.. this isn't facebook. Back to the subject at hand. Yes ide like to meet with other turbo brickers and compare rides. As of now I seem to have issues with the clamps on the boost piping holding lol.. damn things pop when I get into boost.. eh.. maybe I just have to clean with a light degreaser and put it back together.. if serious people would like. I can be contacted on yahoo I believe my email is listed here

Hi Frank, nice to meet you. You can be whoever you want here, and even live all the way in Washington. While it would appear that you can spell, the punctuation and grammar could use a little help.
