Official Davis 2023 Thread

Not driving a Volvo down, but staying at the aggie inn friday and saturday night. I am leaving portland thursday morning and my plans for that evening are up in the air. I am going to toss my sleeping bag and pad in the back of my golf wagon just in case.

welp everybody that was all set up to convoy it down with me bailed. Looks like i'll be driving it alone for the most part (at least the original hathos will be with me in the car).

Unless there's an elevated risk of flooding, I'm still gonna be there. GF and I are crashing with my buddy in Natomas, only have the wagon this year though. Sadly, not on MS, Kenny forgot about it.

Jo's gonna test out the drive route this weekend supposedly, so we'll see if any changes need to be made due to road conditions. May look into another route to address that potholed road, still annoyed with the flat spotted rim I have from it...

Heads up, we're changing the drive route a little from last year. Looks like some of the roads took a real beating, not stock height friendly, let alone lowered. I haven't driven the new one, Jo has, should be good.

Considering I had to check my oil pan on the cover of Rolling last year that's probably a good move.

Loaner 220 may be available if you don't mind driving a POS, not spirated drive ready but it will get to and from for anyone car-less for the event.

Just two weekends away!:omg:

Hey, that's me next to you, I like how I spun my car out just before and broke my fog light and whatnot, and didn't even check. Just ripped the foglight off and threw it in the back.

OK, well I'm heading to Davis in my blue 242. Maybe I'll see some of you there!
Now I'm gonna ask every blue 242 owner I don't know if they are on turbobricks. Might have better luck asking locally if anyone is caravanning down.

Anyone who can pick me out of a crowd will get a free Hazy Little Thing for their troubles (besides 1968volvo of course)

Took a bit for her to get over the pass with the snow, but she was able to at least. I haven't been able to do much with my work schedule and being on this side, but all in all, the show is coming together nicely, definitely ready to see some old faces again. Also breaking in the GF to the crazy Volvo world so we'll see if she comes back next year. lol
