Have a 88 240 with a 15g and a 3 inch dp. Any shorter oil filters available? The napa barely, just barely threads on. Many thanks.

Should be plenty of clearance no? IIRC, only the motor mount is near the filter? (2.5" DP in photo)

The tiny filter for a 22RE fits, but I don't know what the opening pressure of the drain back valve is.

IF you are considering a remote filter mount---and it is a joy once its done and so nice to feed the tubo nice fresh from the cooler oil, then look at this:

2 Inlets and 2 outlets...
Combine that with spin on outlet where the filter went---out to cooler, then from cooler to the filter head IN---> then one of the OUT----> goes back to old filter block off deal and the OTHER OUT---> goes to turbo IN.. The remaining port use for oil pressure and oil temp senders via a T
