So I'm trying to put together the parts for cruise control on my 1992 960 B204FT, which I absolutely need for long drives do to a complaining knee (and a lot of long drives).
I already had a 850 complete kit, so I'm trying to recycle.
1. Installed the stalk, matched prewiring connector, all fine.
2. Sourced a cruise computer off ebay, came with the crucifix mount but I couldn't figure out where that went, but two holes on the pedal assembly seemed made for direct mounting so I did that.
3. I have a B230 throttle lung, seems to bolt up fine with the same mount.
Now to the problems:
4. I ordered the pump bracket in Volvo for 5$, but I can't find the connector, or where the pump is supposed to go. Any pointers? Also, in the diagram shown below, it shows an extra harness to get the pump hooked up, do I need this, or is the car being prewired enough?
5. My engine only has the 2 rail throttle spool, I assume I need a 3 one. I removed the assembly from a B230 spool, hammered out the pinion on both that and a spare B204 spool, and tried fitting it without re-welding the pinion (also because I forgot the position for the cut out). Should this work, or would the 2 rail work somehow (I see two cable slots on the throttle?)?
6. I only have 1 (or two, but in any case I can short the clutch for now) 850 pedal switch. Looks like it could work since I'll probably need to make my own mounts anyway. Correct?
Also, if anyone has 2 940 pedal switches, with L brackets, and tubing, let me know as I'll gladly save myself the hassle.
