Tires are in!!! Wooohoo!

Oh man, this is another really cool thing I found today. I guess I never bothered to look, but the car already has a watercooled turbo on it. I guess I figured that because they never ever maintained the car hardly, that a watercooled turbo was the LAST thing they would have done!

you probably noticed they are 205/50/15's. I wanted 50's because they are shorter (ie =more gearing) and less sidewall (ie better handling).

Well, did a ton of work on the interior this weekend, with the help of fellow brickster Sean Conrad (owns a legit 83 flathood automatic).

Tottaly changed over to a black interior, got my other couple gauges in, most of the stereo (haven't wired the amp for the sub yet because I'm moving the battery to the trunk).

First, heres my improv boost gauge set up. Wanted to use the exsisting line instead of running the plastic one it comes with. If you need to know, the fittings are 1/8" pipe thread

Since I took the back seat out and the seatbelts I didn't have a rear package shelf that streched all the way across. So, I custom made this panel to work. I'm also making a similar one to cover where the back seat was.

Well after all was said and done, figured I'd need a way to see how well I'd stick in the seats!

The seats are awsome! Worth every penny, double that for the seat adapters. My only complaint is that I wish they had made the holes in the adapters a bit bigger, it was a bit too tight. You have to get all the bolts in loose before you can tighten any of them. Another .5 mm for 2 of the holes and it wouldn't have been such a big deal though. But like I said, they were worth every penny.

The stereo is sweet too!

Did a bunch of work today. Today I swapped the original 3.73 for a 3.91 out of the 244ti. It already was re-bush'd with poly bushings, has bilsteins and ipd bars on it.

So did that plus springs today. Then pulled all the front suspension (have to rebush and bead-blast tonight or tomorrow).

I also hung my exhaust system (I've got a decent video w/ sound of it). It sounds great! I'm am very happy with the fitment. It's snug but was actually really easy to do.

Here's the "stance" of the car. I only have a rear supension in it at the moment. So the back is at the right level, and I set the front to where I want it.

You don't really have to take the bumper off, I'm converting to 85 bumpers so I had it off.

Finished the front suspension today. Also did some junkyarding to get other things while I was at it!
