So.. this is what's up. Recently found boost leaks. I've since fixed those. A dealer looked at my car and found my PVC system plugged and told me thats why I'm not seeing boost. But here's the head scratcher.. it pulls boost just fine when the engine is cool.. warmed up though it will not

First, don't go back to that dealer for any work/advice. If that is actually what your were told, not you repeating something you didn't understand, the dealer has no clue what he is talking about. IOW, having a plugged PCV system will have no effect on whether you have boost or not. That said, if your PCV system is clogged, you better do something about it ASAP. You will end up pushing seals right out of the engine if the crankcase pressure gets high enough. Also, boost pressure equates to higher crankcase pressure due to ring blow by.

^ Important!

For the time being, you can leave the dipstick slightly out of the tube to help vent pressure. It may spray some when you go WOT and it won't smell the best, but it's better than venting seals!

I did it for a while on my NA 850. But get that sorted asap.

Now I remember your original thread. You don't have the money to do the PCV service. Do you have the money to have the engine pulled and the rear main seal replaced? That is not sarcasm. You are headed down that path if you keep ignoring this problem.

Replace the Pcv yourself or sell the thing ASAP before it leaves you stranded.

You can ghetto unclog them with a coat hanger and new top hose and pour some solvent in the box and blow out with compressed air. Bt you really need to tear into it and do it right.

Saves a little time pulling the box and all and only good for people who just need to get by or if you are selling one of those pos white engine cars and need to sell it cheap and get it as far away from you as possible and will repent for a long time for ever buying one. Oww.

if you cant afford a vented oil cap then take off your oil cap and put one of these on

The scratch pad won't solve anything unless it gets ingested into the valvetrain, at which point your other problems will seem minor by comparison. A vented oil cap might work, but there's not really a good place to tee it into the stock system. The hoses will probably be so brittle that they'll break if you try to remove them. It's best just to bite the bullet...

The kit that includes everything you need is $140 from IPD and you don't need expensive tools to install it.
