• Hello Guest, welcome to the initial stages of our new platform!
You can find some additional information about where we are in the process of migrating the board and setting up our new software here

redblockpowered converts from 240 to 940

So you got a new shaft to replace the one you snapped, or was that a joke as with the blade drilling
No I did actually break my super rare JDM fancy pants TD04. Need to look for another.
Also need to change my timing belt and fix my odometer (#4!) so it reads the right mileage. 225k now. Too cold to really do anything fun with the car mechanically, I've just been driving it.
I screwed around with the boost controller settings and feel decent about how it's set up. Integrated control would be better. I turned the gain down to make throttle response a little more linear.

I need ebc, the ol MBC is pretty crude. I wonder how well Stoni's amm referenced EBC works

Just read through your thread, love the car.

The Stoni deal looks pretty neat. I like that the "Preferred Solenoid" is a Volvo factory part. When you say that the MBC is crude, what do you dislike about it?

Thanks!

The 20t spools pretty fast and it'll lose traction as the boost starts to peak. An EBC can lengthen that curve so you don't build pressure as fast but your acceleration is still better because you aren't spinning the tires.

Also pretty annoying with cruise control on long hills, the Volvo CC is slow to react and next thing you know it's pushing 15 psi and then slams the throttle shut. I'm sure one could figure out a way to limit boost pressure when cruise is activated.

This would be pretty neat indeed, I mostly noticed this in the mountains, it's pretty well behaved on flat roads with the 18T.

Same as the discontinued BTR SP008s I think. 70 lbs installed, 324 lb/in rate. They're a little smaller ID up top.

I looked for the "RPM Series" 1223X thinking they were nitrided but that seems to not be true AND they're discontinued.

I also talked to the Subaru guy for another white whale turbo and he's out. I'll look around until I get one, more power is not really a priority.

Hoping to steal some dyno time at work before any engine revisions happen anyway. New head may also get new cam and I don't know what compression ratio I want.

Got a set of Conti ExtremeContact Sport 02 for this car to celebrate the arrival of pleasant weather. Looking forward to ruining them.

I looked and looked for 17s or wider 16s or something but gave up in the end. I like Hydras anyway.

I changed my oil. 100 miles until we hit the moon.

Also the infamous Cool Titanium JDM 19T Bastard Turbo has made it into my car. I sort of wish I had tried it with the normal turbine wheel just to see but as far as I can tell it hits hard like Kimbo Slice. Power level and powerband are about identical, time to torque seems greatly improved. Still a street car (always and forever) so this seems like the right move.

Going to Palmer on Sunday. Should be fun.

OH and I finally figured out the brake pedal pushrod was adjusted wrong. And Dad and I did rear calipers after one seized. Had to cut and re-flare the original lines. Terrible.
