Regina idle tuning.

I’m trying to get a 92 740 Regina car running at least good enough that we can register it.

The IAC thats in this car shows some real butchery from previous owners and Imm trying to fix that.

First things first, does the Regina system idle SOLELY on the iac? Or does it need a base throttle blade position set for hot idle, then the iac controls cold idle and/or AC fast idle?

Also if anyone has a greenbook and could shoot me the IAC hose routing (or just explain it) I’d be grateful

I've got the Regina manual at home.... will look up your question when I get there later this week.

84B23F is well versed on all Regina functions; shoot him a PM. I recall the IAC is a unique beast for Regina/Rex control, and NLA.

Not available.

Same as LH 2.4 - "set the throttle plate to 1/2 turn of the screw off of fully closed".Then check TPS.

2.6 MB file...send PM with email address

LH 2.4 IAC could be used...but LH 2.4 connector will have to be wired in. It works, but not like the OEM IAC for Regina.

I don't recall having a "colored coded" wiring diagram, but diagram below shows one side is hot, and other side gets grounded via Regina's ECU. On 940, Regina is at passenger side panel

Awesome.

Yeah someone has put in a bosch style IAC complete with the ghetto wiring job. I verified that it worked and that the polarity was correct, THEN I got a complete no start situation. Good spark, but I don’t think my injectors are firing.

Literally drove this car from the storage to house yesterday and it broke in the driveway while I’m troubleshooting the IAC! Lol

I’m pm’img you my email now

I had 12v at the injectors with the key on, but while cranking I didn’t see any flash, although I was just using a test light, not a noid light or meter.

Now that I’m reading about it I probably wouldn’t light up a test light the way I was doing it. I’ll have to retest that when I get a chance.

If you buy one get the Bougicord brand only. The cheaper aftermarket ones are awful. FCP in Connecticut has them for like $40 it’s worth it
