Rescuing a “Mint” Condition 1975 Volvo 244DL

And the 240 in 1975 was a refinement of the 140 series, so still kinda around 10-11 years, with some minor updates.
Yeah, it was fun comparing my 1968 Volvo 145S with my friend's 1993 Volvo 240 Wagon. Good stuff.

Exactly. Pretty much how my old '73 145E wound up being a kludge of parts...

Steering wheel was from an '84 GL, as were the front seats. Mirrors from a 1987 244GL, front doors were from a 1976 244DL, tailgate from a 1981 245DL with a tailgate handle and rear wiper motor assembly from a 1986 245. Also had the 1975-80 style black wiper arms, a black A pillar antenna, beltline mouldings from a 1978-80 265, etc...

The 244 has been sold! The car will be headed all the way from Boise, Idaho to Cape Cod, Massachusetts for a full restoration.
New owner has multiple 122/Amazons, P1800s, etc. Needless to say, it's headed to a good home. B20 and K-Jet will remain intact.

He plans to send me plenty of restoration updates, so I'll be keeping this thread alive to share.

Well done! Glad to see it going to a collector of good things Swedish.
Me too! Most of my 40+ Volvos have come from weeds, fields, or forests; glad to give so many of them new lives. In the last year, I've sent this one to Massachusetts, one to Florida, one to Oregon, one to Utah, and one to Virginia.
