Rusty in Tucson (1971 145S)

No big updates lately. I was able to secure the front doors and smoker windows with locks which made me comfortable to install two window cranks! I also installed the new air filter and the missing door lock button.

I'm going to order the reinforced shock mounts and some inner wheelwells from VP because the rust holes there are pretty critical I'm told.

Hi thread people!

Unfortunately I've decided to sell this car and all the parts. I don't have a house or garage where I can work on it. Fixing these rust holes would require it to sit while not running, which would not fly at the storage facility or town home parking I have access to.

Since I bought it, my local volvo friend (who deserves most of the credit) and I fixed the intake leak, passed smog, replaced valve stems, added door locks, and made the driver door open and close silky smooth. I also replaced a couple rough carb parts. As is obvious from Ian's original thread it needs rust work. I bought shock mounts but it will need replacement wheel wells or sheet metal to fix.

I'll make listings for everything soon but please reach out if you're interested in the wagon or any of the parts, please reach out!

Sad to see it go! Hopefully it stays on Turbobricks!

Good news! My local Volvo friend who I mentioned in this thread agreed to take it. We're just now driving back from the Snowball Rally/Davis meet and had a lot of fun. Hoping to get the rust fixed and get it cleaned up enough to drive out next year.
