I need a new fuel sender for my 1990 Regina Volvo 745 GL. Does anyone know if this aftermarket sender by Delphi listed on CarID.com works? It is for Volvo 740 Regina variants (1988 to 1992). I am wary of buying something that looks so different from the original. From the photos, I’m not even sure if this one has a hole for the filler tube. I badly need a new unit and they are not available used. If anyone has any experience with these please let me know!

I can only reference my own experience with aftermarket fuel senders which is good. Delphi is just reboxing someone else's product. I would give it a try. If a Volvo unit is available it's going to be three for four times the price.

That picture might just be a generic sending unit picture. If that is a pic of the actual sending unit, it will not work. As you said, it doesn't have the fill tube feature.

Also fits Ford E-series? ONLY fits Ford E-series.

Here's what the Delphi site itself shows for a 90 E-250
Not even close to a Volvo part.
CarID is stoned on something.

This one is discontinued, so you can't even buy it new. You have to wait till someone has one available. You can try car-part.com.

For future reference they pop up rebuilt on eBay occasionally. That’s where I snagged a spare for my ‘90.
