got sick of my old setup, 4" jvc's in front, 5.25" jvc's in the back doors, 6" pioneers in the back.
like no bass and sounded like garbage.
picked up some kicker 3 way 6x9's at the ipd garage sale, and finally got around to installing them in a box on the back deck. sounded awesome!!, i figured i should get some matching front and mid speakers as well, and got around to putting them in today, and it sounds great:)

when i put a new interior in the previous owner was nice enough to rip the speakers out and ruin the panels for me, so i cut some mdf rings out on the cnc, work perfect. until i put my sub in the back and buy a 5 channel amp to power the speakers, it will work fine:)

so here are some pictures from today

sound freakin awesome compared to my old ones, the sound is much more crisp and has a decent amount of bass

Well you just saved me from wasting my money. I was looking at some JVCs for the front doors. Now I'll have to get something better. What model number is the kickers you have pictured for the fronts?
Are you the guy who was selling the mdf rings?

Can't wait to see the rest of the progress.
Thanks in advance.

the speakers are DS400 in the front (ds series, 4 inch), they don't require a spacer, but i was going to use one because the hole was al stripped out, and yes i was the one selling the rings

Not to steal the thread or anything, just gonna add what I did.

This is what I did for mine, I just bought some 5.25s and some 4's Everything is boss except the amps which are crossfire and the 4's are a random brand.

I suggest you use two separate amps, a two channel for your subs and a 4 channel for your inside speakers, so you get this
