Ive had this similar but not matching color flathood in my dads garage for like 2 years now... My question, if I can figure out how to add a poll to this thread it this: Should I swap it on? Is the world ready for another yellow +T station wagon with a flathood!? :)

Are you ready to drive a car that looks like a beater so you can have an older hood?
Non-matching hoods rarely look good. I tried it for a couple weeks but couldn't stand it.

Your car looks good as it is. Wait to put the 240 hood on until you can get it painted to match.
Try it out, its only four bolts, a latch, a grill change, and some grunting to go back.

Even if you do paint it I still vote no. The wagons just look too snub-nosed without the additional length of the 260 hood. But that's just my personal taste.

I kinda agree with this one.

Flathoods are schweet but your car is already schweet.
But...put it on and check it out...for kicks. Remove your grill first.
It's a 15 minute job.

flathood??

YES.....the factory non-flathood has got to be in the top 5 listing of ugliest hoods of all time

Ok so I was bored and I put it on to try it out. Here are the results (with old grill still):

Need to get someone to push down on it a little so I can pull the popper, apparently its just enough out of alignment that there is tension on the release mechanism.

edit: lights are Hella Rallye 4000's. listed diameter is 8.75 inches.
