speedometers k39200 vs k40168

what is the differences between the k40168 from my 93 244 and the k39200. the little plastic tab for the spring has broken on every on of the k40168.

One is for sedan(k40168) and the other for wagon. In a pinch you could use either one but if it's not the correct speedometer, speed will be a little off.

Thanks! got a good k40168. will be going through my stuff looking for the correct one but so far no luck

The Knumber is the number of pulses per Km expected by the speedo. Using a 40168 instead of a 39200 will read 39200/40168 = 97.6% of actual speed, e.g. the 40168 will read 97.6 Km/hr when you're going 100 (assuming you're using the factory tire size).

Never knew what it was for. Odometer worked all of 38 miles Got to lick that dog again.

Look into it again and another broken gear! Also ordered those Delin gears but found a good one in another cluster.. .
