Terminal 11 Trick for 240 Turbos

It should be noted that most all 240 turbos sold in the US have a wire running from terminal 11 to a temperature cutout switch on the engine
block above the starter. It was super easy to just remove this wire from
the sensor and use the female connector to connect the pressure switch
for the terminal 11 mod.

It's OK to remove this connection from the temperature
cutout because it's too much fuel for cold running unless you are in
Scandanavia or maybe the Canadian owners might want to keep it
connected. The Volvo mechanics in NJ I've spoken to told me they used
to routinely disconnect this circuit because it was too much fuel for a cold
catalytic converter and it would contribute to the cat clogging. Enjoy your
boost in power!

Are you sure this is correct? According to Bentley when the thermal cutout switch is grounded it only raises the frequency valve duty cycle to 71%-77% via terminal 7 on the ECU (the same teminal the boost pressure switch uses). Terminal 11 which is conected to the pressure differential switch raises the duty cycle to 91% as talked about in the article.

Yes, in my car when I ground that wire it goes to a higher duty cycle than the one for the boost enrichment. The Boost enrichment switch made the duty cycle the 75-77% like the book shows. But when I grounded the wire for the thermal cutout on my car. It showed 85% or so for the duty cycle/dwell. So, that's why I used it for the Terminal 11 trick. When I looked at the connecter in my
ecu the wire was the same color on Terminal 11 as the wire end at the Thermal cutout switch and it ohmed out to there. I forget what color the wire is but my Boost enrichment switch is connected to Terminal 7.
Sorry, for not checking for your question sooner.
Best regards,

UPDATE!!
I checked my ECU and you guys were correct. There wasn't a wire at terminal 11. So, I wired my switch up to terminal 11 at the ECU and it
works even better. I don't understand why grounding that other sensor
seemed to make the dwell as high as terminal 11 but it certainly wasn't wired to it. The car runs even stronger now at 10psi and up.
Happy rolling!
