While waiting for my preordered manifold to ship, I saw a couple posts about ports not lining up on the new manifold.

Mine came in today so I 3d printed a couple flanges to check the fit up.

Unfortunately the ports do not line up and the manifold is pretty much useless.

Just a heads up to anyone interested. I hope the news gets to the company and they will resolve things.




 
Looks like someone forgot to mirror the flange measurements.

Luckily it should just be a quick core redesign and then ports will line up without issue.

Very glad to hear they are resolving the issue though, once it's fixed I will probably buy one
 
It's a good company with a good reputation. I'm sure they will make it right.
Yeah with how swift the guy running the biz jumped in I definitely take his word it will get resolved.

It's not like 16 years ago when the Chinabay manifolds were wrong, than a year later some guy on here in the UK said he emailed the mfg in China that they were wrong and were sending him a new prototype to test out IIRC? 16 years later, still wrong.

Classicswede shonky cam gears, chinese oil pumps that crack if you look at them, the worst crush bent exhaust system you've ever seen (still using JT Tuning's old picture so false advertising)

Why is the aftermarket for these cars full of junk and/or retardation?
 
I can add holes drilled incorrectly on my KL racing intake manifold for the throttle body also sourced from them. And the TPS adapter plate was also useless for Volvo TPS, I had to drill and tap the standard plate. Also no provision for a throttle cable stop, things you kind of expect for a Volvo specific part that cost $700. And I still can't get an answer from them on the replacement bushings for their control arms.

Why is the aftermarket for these cars full of junk and/or retardation?
The Kangaroo team is doing everything in their power to fix their mistake, they're even casting new manifolds with the issue corrected and sending them to customers free of charge to replace the defective ones. They also offered to just refund you the full price if you rather, I'm sure some time with a die grinder and you can make that manifold work.
 
eh, on the die grinder front, I think it'd get thin, and you're already losing support for the gaskets, so I probably wouldn't do that. What I might do instead would be slot/redrill, or possibly set aside for use with the 16v manifold adapter where you can make adjustments to that plate more easily than the manifold itself. and, as per my short video on it, if you can get a plate thats twice as thick, it'll move things around a little more favorably etc etc.
 
The Kangaroos Team are taking care of everyone. Just makes me hesitant about preordering parts ever again.

2 month wait for a manifold that cost more than my 245.

I guess my cracked 90+ will be getting used.
