This is one of the cars my folkrace team currently operates. It's a late 60's VW Type 3 Variant aka Squareback with a B23E swap. The races are run on a ~1000m closed course rallycross track

The body is VERY straight for being a folkrace car. Most other cars look like cratered moonscapes from being mashed up during a race and then beaten back out with a sledge hammer.

Pretty mild B23E with a shaved and ported 530, 290 degree duration cam, k-jet with increased control pressure and a good header.

Interior is spartan with only a water temp gauge. The big orange light is oil pressure warning. The stove pipe on the right is the pass through for the coolant lines.
Folkrace is the most accessible form of motorsport in Sweden. The cars operate under a very free structure of rules with basically only safety requirements and a universal 7500sek ($1100) claim rule. The low price of claiming a car keeps the cars extremely low cost to purchase, own, and operate.
