Walmart Douglas tires. $56 each. Probably $300 all said and done.Hey, what are some relatively cheap tires for daily driving my 1982 244 GL? I believe the specs for coronas are 185/75R14 or 185/70R14.
Yea still thinking about switching to 15s or even 16s I really like the look of the Hyrda wheels. If I can't find a good tire option for the coronas that'll definitely be the move I just want to get this thing on the road. You can also run 195/70R14s... Speedo will read closer to the actual speed you're traveling. As @OVERDRIVE said, I would consider relegating the Covid-19 rims to snow tire usage and run some 15" rims instead, though. If you like the fanblade appearance of the corona rims, look for a set of the Aries rims, found on certain late 740s. Another option that goes well on non-turbo 240s is the Adhara rim. Either run it with the plastic large hubcap, or use small corona caps with Virgo lugs.
Shown on a 245GL, but you get the idea... Tire-wise, either 195/60R15 or 205/55R15 tires will work fine.
Have you ever used them?Walmart Douglas tires. $56 each. Probably $300 all said and done.
I saw this online a couple times I'll search for that size as well then thanks for all the replies. Really helpful forum!Another great alternate tire size is 195/65/14. These work great. I've used them on several 240 and it's a great size for a bit more traction and handling while keeping it easy to roll.
Yeah on lots of cars and know lots of people who also have used them. Good basic tire.Have you ever used them?
Alright I'll probably go with that for now thanks for the suggestion. I'll probably up the wheel size eventually.Yeah on lots of cars and know lots of people who also have used them. Good basic tire.
