Turbo Fail

ok so today i took the tube that goes from the air box to the turbo off and i can reach in there and spin that little wheel does that mean the turbos shot?

Turbo impeller should spin freely. Should not have enough slop that it will contact the housing.

somone told me if i reach in there and can spin that wheel then its no good were they wrong?

ummm....yes. The "little wheel" is the turbine wheel. It's supposed to spin. It's what makes the turbo do what it does. If it wiggles from side to side, then it can mean the turbo is going bad.
