Turbo info 1982 b21ft

You can move the actuator rod by hand. However, it should take a bit of strength to move it. There should be enough preload that it keeps the wastegate firmly shut till it's pushed open by exhaust pressure. If you can easily move it then there is something wrong.
 
Waste gate is functional. Tested it with pressure, opens around 6-7 psi. I found a green book for the B21FT turbo, so will go through the check list and take it step by step.
 
Have been working on getting the Simons exhaust fitted for the last two days. Got it done, will see if I get the chance today to take the hose of the compressor inlet.
