So originally my 1984 242 had a b21ft k-jet engine in it. well I ripped that out and rebuilt and installed the b230ft from a 95 740 turbo. Long story short, It runs great with nice power but I was told when I did the swap I could still use the same 'in line' fuel pump from the b21ft. so I did. Ive put over 10k on this swap already and on occasion it would pop the fuse for the fuel pump..
yesterday the car died while driving but no fuel pump fuse popped. I got it to fire up but only for about 2 mins before it died again. towed it home then I hit the fuel pump a couple times and it ran fine and pump also primed when I turned key to 'on' position.
should I be using the fuel pump from the 740 turbo or jus buy a new b21ft pump?
thanks!!
