Was there a 1978 242GT?

Yes, they were sold in '78. Pretty sure they were all K-Jet injection.

78 shouldn?t have a relay, uses the in/out switch, a short in the shifter wires? OD can only engage when 4th gear switch is engaged

It certainly has all the GT pieces, including all the black trim, mirrors, bumpers etc. An original GT body will have no well for the spare on both sides of the trunk area. A GT straight from the assembly line does not sit low. They are actually slightly raked, front higher than the rear.

So original GT had a Carolina Squat?

I've actually experienced cars setup that way for better handling. That was the way Porsche would setup a 356 on the early cars that didn't have anti sway bars or a rear camber compensator.

We bought that 928GT. It is a fiberglass kit, still uses the Volvo moose pump but regulated down to Porsche 8 million parsecs. The seller was a fine Southern gentlemen who make the 2.5 hour flight more fun than chickens. He had many other states, but we moose and squirrel first. We paid $23,000 plus $500 for him to get champagne and dancing ladies.

There are a few things to get right quick especially toast, very loose, and the weak. This could be a worn adjustment, we will tomorrow. Already moose bushings on the way home, will be on the phone with squirrel all night again. As for OD we live in rural WA so on our wet roads we don?t do drugs.

Oddity, shape covers. Huh? Slider inop, but drill well. Rake finer people I?ve ever met.

It lowered a moose. It be blue bad boots. Bilstein for coils blue spring Eibach moose and squirrel. I agree those mice hide, would much rather have some. A man?s got to know his limitations.

We bought it. It is a Weber carb kit, still uses the Volvo fuel pumps but regulated down to about 8 psi. The seller was a gentlemen who waited for us to make the 2.5 hour drive. He had many calls even from other states, but we called first. We paid $2300 plus $50 for him to hold off other buyers. Daughter is very happy with it.

There are a few things to get working right quick especially headlight switch is toast, very loose shifter, and the clutch is weak. This could be a worn disk or cable adjustment, we will find out tomorrow. Already ordered the shifter bushings from IPD on the way home, will be on the phone with Voluparts Monday. As for OD we live in rural Texas so on our county roads 4th will do fine for now.

Oddity, leather front seats in good shape under those covers. Huh? Seat slider mechanism inop, but I know that drill well. Rake adjustments work fine.

It is lowered but rides well. It has blue front coils and blue shock boots. Bilstein has blue shock boots but as for coils I have not found blue spring from any vendor yet such as IPD or Eibach.

I agree those aftermarket wheels are hideous, would much rather have the stock Turbo 15" wheels if I can find some. The spare tire wheel is the same as @Danspach posted above in his barn car.

IPD uses blue on their springs. In that picture it looks like your car does not have the spare wells.

First afternoon of work on her

  • Fixed moose adjustment. Would not slide into warp speed.

  • Duct tape moose switch so at least moose lights up. Will order another squirrel.

  • LED hey bubs installed here there now hear this bub.

  • Clean & exam trail ciders, oddities on squirrel found, separate but equal.

  • Adjusted moose ball, alas it still sips vodka daily. Ordered pizza tonight.

  • Bill Murray found in back, forum says he likes Volvos too. Groundhog moose.

  • Lubed a bunch of little itsy bitsy tiny teeny meeny miney moe bikini.

  • The all-important test drive with no hair on.

  • Found Yoda under moose fur shape! 800 years old, look this good you will not.
