What’s the difference in stock driveshaft length between a 242 and a 940

Quick one, just as the title says

Basically wondering if I can keep my adapted 2pc driveshaft from my 242 when I convert my 940 to a t5
Are there any other differences if they are the same length

The 7/9 live rear axle driveshaft is longer than the 240 rear driveshaft.

The front driveshafts visually appear to be similar lengths, based on the having one AW7* 240 1310 front shaft and one 740 AW71 laying side by side. Note that I haven't measured them.

I have a BW35 164, two 240 (one BW55 and one M45, plus a 1310 AW71 front shaft)), one 740 and one 940 (both AW7*) driveshafts in the shed.

One day I'll have to find out if the rear 164 1310 shaft mates up with the 940's AW71 front shaft and centre support bearing.

Thanks, but I think for my future t5 swap I’ll just take my car off the road for the 2 some weeks it takes to get the driveshaft modified
Who knows maybe I’ll even go for a 1pc this time

Hi folks,

Need length of front part of driveshaft of 240 with a aw71 and a redblock. Original one is nowhere to be found. Theres plenty for manuals and no at all for slushboxes.
