I've got a sandwich-type oil cooler that I'd like to install as part of my +t project. However, the main stud is kind of chewed up. Apparently a bunch of threads got mangled during extraction. I've tried to muscle through reconditioning them, but it's not working well. I'd like to just replace the thing at this point, but I don't want to buy a whole new oil cooler set up. Anyone know where I can find the stud, hopefully for cheap?

Do they ever give you the day off from manning the parts cannon, Ken?

I'll probably end up buying this from you next week.

:-D

It ain't easy 5 yards, 144 miles and all day to run the JY gauntlet.
K LMK I can do the stud by itself for $15 shipped.

That said, fire when ready.

I might need the nut and washer too. I don't think I have em. I'll check later when I go out to the garage.

Did you try to fix the threads with a small triangular file?
They just need to be good enough to hold the oil filter you know.
You gotta get the big vise grip really tight on the smooth part of the stud back in the jaws where the teeth are sharp and tall.
Alternator needs to move to do it right as well.
