video of it moving. i have a large exhaust leak at the cat gasket. as you can hear. also note, i did not hit the truck...the at this time the brakes were not working yet (needed to bleed them) but i had to move it so i could do my friends oil change (girl who walks past camera)

thanks guys. it really did go well. ive got some stuff to finish up like working lights and signals. it was a lot of work...plus b/w all this i dropped an m3 on coil overs, and put a trans into a rabbit pick up truck, so honestly, i did this swap in 5 actual days. it may seem impossible but i did it. I think jenn can vouch for me. and when i say 5 days. i mean 5.... 16 hour days. so im pretty beat.

That's a clean looking VW caddy/rabbit.

thats the truck i was referring to about the trans swap. its a mk3 2.0 motor and trans swap. two weekends ago we took the trans out, rebuilt it, new clutch, and a new seals. it was a friday night thing. started at 5, drove it away at 11pm. not too shabby. fun little truck too

So i slacked on updates in this thread again. thank you for all the compliments. much appreciated.

I've been driving the ugly twin now for about a month or so i guess. everything seems ok. started on some aesthetic stuff. its too cold out to do any legit body work so i'm gonna wait until spring to do more rust repair and paint.

swapped a windshield in

swapped the whole front strut set up because including trading solid rotors for vented ones.

chopped a coil out of the front springs and put clear corners on the front. looks a little better now.

It's my old car! I knew it would run.. It was running when I parked it a few years ago. IIRC, the master cyl was shot in it.

turns out the master cylinder was fine. the distribution block down on the frame...the sensor that is inside of that actually was leaking.. when it got really cold out it really showed up. so i fixed that and now the break pedal is a lot touchier. putting myself into the steering wheel touchy.

jen i cant wait to show you the car. its not super pretty yet, but it goes! jay it would have been cool to finally meet ya.

qben, i live in easton PA. when im finished with the car i plan on selling off if i dont become too attached to it. i need to down size on the amount of cars i have. i can afford to keep them all insured, running, and tagged, but keeping them everywhere is getting to be a nuisance. But im far from finished. the aesthetic stuff ill begin short.. just pickin away at little things for now such as the grill emblem:
