Project Get Out of Its Own Way V.2

I wasn’t building any boost so I pressure checked my car yesterday for a couple different points. I had quite a bit of leaks on all the fittings. They all been sealed.

Found a Volvo 240 model accidentally looking for parts.

Finally solved my boost issues. Ended up being the intercooler being too restrictive. The smaller unit worked pretty well with my B230FT build but wasn?t allowing enough Volume through with the LQ4 turbo.

Nice work, making it all (including the turbo bits) fit neatly in there!

Looking at basic V8 fitment issues - couple questions if you have time -

Where did you end up sourcing the banjo style adaptors for the trans cooler lines?

Where did you look to figure out shifter options? I'm putting the 4L60e in my 740 - which does look somewhat different in overall case layout than yours, but was still cable operated I assume?

If I remember right I got them on Amazon. I guess you already know it has to tightly go 90 because of tunnel clearance.

I actually guessed the shifter would fit, lol. I had to cut in the dash to get it to fit well. It is all cable operated. Felt kind of bad cutting part of the dash to get it to fit.

awesome build out ! Looking very tidy in the bay, and looks like your at the house garage making dreams come true

Probably the fastest thing on the block ! Super sick , is the ecu auto tuning still ??

Cheers!

I got some goodies this week. Griffin 8.8 mounts, part of my STS Wilwood upgrade and stronger IPD torque rods. Now it?s time to clean up the Explorer posi 8.8 I have in the garage.

I?ve been wanting to do a V8 swap in this car since I was a teenager. I?ve built few cars in this garage but this one has been the most involved. I would love a lift and more space but I make do. There are quite a few fast cars on the Block. When I?m done maybe this will be the fastest, lol. It?s a terminator X by Holley. It adjust the A/F based on what you request. All the other parameters are set by the user. I have the drivability down really well and have advanced the in it this week. I changed it from 12 to 16.5 degrees on 7 psi of boost which is on 93 octane. I haven?t got to test to see the difference. Thank you for your compliments.

Ran the oil return and oil feed for my turbo. Found some interference issues. I will have to notch or push back the firewall for the intake.

I was wondering what the blanked off port next to the oil filter could be used for. Was it for an oil cooler on some stock setups?

Hard to see the details in your pics, these ones are way too small....
